Radhika Graham (She/Her)
Founder, Creative Director, and Lead Planner
Hello, my name is Radhika (Rad for short). I began working in the wedding industry over a decade ago and in 2015, I founded my own company, Rad Occasions. My passion for creating intentional and sustainable events has evolved into a full-service company that I now run with my team, including my husband, Rob. As a certified planner and a lifelong romantic, I pride myself on going the extra mile for the couples I work with – whether it’s folding 500+ paper cranes before a ceremony or running Olympic sprints in heels to save bouquets from stormy weather. Aside from planning weddings, I teach with the Wedding Planner's Institute of Canada and am getting over my fear of public speaking by speaking in public, of course!
Favourite Things: eating a delicious piece of wedding cake, experiencing cultures through travel, & spending time with my family whether it be checking out the newest restaurant or strolling the Songhees Walkway
The Team
Amanda L. (She/Her)
Event Day Assistant
Amanda has worked in the service industry for many years and spent a season doing décor set up and take down for weddings. She thoroughly enjoyed her experience and upon returning to Victoria joined Rad Occasions in 2019. A social and out-going individual with an eye for detail, Amanda is excited to aid in making the couple’s vision a reality. When free from wedding assisting, Amanda works full time for a software company and is working towards her project management designation.
Favourite Things: taking walks in nature, enjoying a cold pint of craft beer, and reading a good book
Rob (He/Him)
Event Day Assistant/ Spatial Engineer
Rob joined the team in 2017 and is affectionately known as ‘The Muscle’ as he can often be found lugging many of the heavier items on wedding days. He is also the brains behind any carefully drawn out floor plan whether it be at a hotel or a private property. He grew up on Denman Island with his parents, brother, and their family dog, Woof. He and Rad were married in 2019 in a wedding that literally took everyone by surprise.
Favourite Things: playing soccer, a delicious glass of whiskey, and dance parties in the living room with our little one
Lindsay (She/Her)
Event Day Assistant
Lindsay has been with team since 2023 and completed her WPIC certification in 2022. She is passionate about the small details and always keeping things running smoothly - qualities that have served her well in her management career in veterinary services and now with the University of Victoria. Outside of her existing career and her recent foray into weddings Lindsay keeps herself busy with singing in a choir, watching TV with Gravy the cat, and learning Hungarian.
Favourite Things: a perfectly golden grilled cheese, a new book with a mug of tea, making music, and baking
Kate (She/Her)
Event Day Assistant
Kate is our newest team member and is originally from the Sunshine Coast. She brings a calm and level-headed approach to each couples’ big day and enjoys seeing how each element of a wedding comes together. As she puts it, that is when the magic really happens! When she’s not helping to create memorable moments she spends her time as an elementary teacher librarian with a love of books and with her family, which happens to include Rob, one of her cousins.
Favourite Things: finding the perfect matcha latte, a cozy read, and a drizzly walk in the forest.
